Welcome, Andy Crankshaw
Just a little under one year ago, Andrew Crankshaw joined Transcend as Finance Director. An experienced Alternative Asset Finance specialist, Andrew brings a wealth of experience from over 20 years in Finance and Fund Administration within the Venture Capital and Private Equity space.
In this last year, Andrew has continued to build out the Transcend platform to enable the team to operate efficiently and effectively whilst also looking after the needs of our Fund investors. He has also recently became authorized and approved by the FCA in the UK to manage regulated activities for Transcend.
Prior to Transcend he led teams and critical projects at Atomico for 12 years as Finance Director with responsibility for both the General Partner finance side as well as the Funds finance operations side of Atomico and including Compliance, Fund Structuring, Fund Administration, Banking and FX, Valuations, Investor Reporting and IR Support.
He began his Finance career at Baker Tilly, a top 6 firm of accountants and auditors as an Accountant before joining IK Investment Partners, a firm in the mid-market private equity buy-out space as Senior Fund Accountant and then moving on to 3i plc, a listed buy-out fund, joining as Funds Controller.
Andrew is a fully qualified accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accountancy from Birmingham City University and in addition achieved the Investment Administration Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
In his spare time Andrew enjoys skiing, rugby (now viewing only), cycling, walking his two dogs, and the challenge of raising two children with his wife.
